On my holiday in Malaysia, I spent some unforgettable days at Rebak Island Resort, Langkawi. This recently revamped resort, which is now managed and operated by The Taj Group (so I am told) is undoubtedly Heaven on Earth. I would recommend it to anyone planning to spend some quiet moments with loved ones.
I have come back with memories that I will cherish for a lifetime. The hospitality and the service of their staff are beyond compare. Their warmth makes you feel at home. For foodies, this is the place to be. You can enjoy cuisines of all types under one roof at the Resort's restaurants: Senari and Boardwalk. Their SY69 lounge provides a breathtaking view of the Marina and the yachts, and here you will find a wide range of beverages including special and international cocktails.
Glorious sunshine, deep blue waters, romantic caves, tucked-away corners along the beach and breathtaking flora weave enchanting memories. Recreation options at the hotel range from relaxing to exciting. You can choose to lie lazily in the swimming pool, play golf on the nine-hole mini golf course, go kayaking or mountain biking, follow a nature trail, play beach volleyball or tennis or just take a shot at the pool table. Also on offer for the culinary buff are Malaysian cuisine demonstrations that can be arranged on request.
Water sport activities such as parasailing, jet skiing and banana boat rides can also be arranged at the main island on request. What’s more, their resident naturalists also take guests on Mangrove discovery tours! If you are a nature lover and adventurous at heart, you can opt for the sunset cruises, deep-sea fishing, snorkelling and scuba diving, or better still--private boat trips, cave explorations, Langkawi Island tours or plain island hopping!
TIP
The hotel is offering a special introductory price till September 2007.
